“Do not cling to words and texts, simply practice with your own body.” ~ KiCheon Proverb
KiCheon is a unique mind-body practice from Korea. A great importance is placed on 6 basic static positions which when mastered serve as a foundation for dynamic movements. Rhythm is a key element in the dynamic forms and give rise to freestyle dance-like movements expressing life currents and balance of Eum (negative) & Yang (positive) Ki channels. The external manifestation of inner cultivation and responsiveness is that the movements simultaneously express strength and softness in its ferocity and grace.
Although KiCheon has deep roots in cosmic understanding and ancient wisdom, the practice emphasizes working with the body without layering on mental and intellectual constructs. Persistent and dedicated practice awakens the light of equanimous awareness and self-healing already innate in the practitioner.
