Nicaragua's stunning Emerald Coast of jungle and seashore teaming with wildlife will be our sanctuary as we explore the alchemy of yoga.  Each day, enjoy two yoga sessions on a thatched roof open-air yoga deck overlooking the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean.  Wake up to a dynamic practice of strength building stances and fluid postures, followed by subtler work of seated asana, kriya, pranayama and meditation.  End the day with a nourishing yin and restorative practice to ease you into a restful sleep.

Our accommodation will be tree houses elevated into the forest canopy connected by lava-stone pathways and wooden bridges meandering through the tropical hillside and streams.  Fall asleep to the tranquil waves of the ocean and wake up to the sounds of tropical nature.  In between, there will be plenty of time to enjoy yoga, 3 delicious meals, and ocean activities such as body surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and swimming in a secluded white-sand beach cove.  Or simply lounge on the beach with a good book sipping a Mojito or Nica Libre made with Nicaragua's famous Flor de Cana rum.  For the surfer in you, the resort is within a 5- to 20-minute boat ride from the most famous surf breaks in Nicaragua.  There are also many optional tours, including turtle and dolphin/whale watching, zip-line canopy, and sea cliff hiking.  Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, there will be something for everyone.

You can also extend your trip to Nicaragua at the front- or back-end of the retreat to spend a few days exploring the Spanish colonial city of Granada and the iconic twin volcano Ometepe islands (not included in the retreat).
