Appropriate for all levels of practitioners, this series is ideal for those seeking a gentler practice with advanced awareness cultivation. Simple poses and gentle movements will be utilized for learning to draw grounding from the bones and enhancing circulation in the body.
This series has 2 parts, with each part utilizing different category of Marmas (vital junctions in the body) as a tool for refining awareness. Emphasis will be on practical application of Marmas, and the second series will include Marma point self-massage.
While each session can be taken independently,* participation in the entire series is recommended as the series is designed to support progressive experiential learning and understanding.

Deep Release & Renewal

Immerse in practice of deep engagement, release and renewal.
This workshop will comprise slow movement explorations and long-held floor postures while cultivating alert, inquisitive and kind attention. Gentle as well as deeper range options will be offered. Practitioners will be encouraged to develop an internal qualitative adjustment through skillful exploration of the dynamic between engagement and surrender unique to them. Workshop will end with the practice of Yoga Nidra as a tonic to support deep rest of the body and mind.

Grounded & Centered

Through gentle movements and restorative postures, we will explore what it means to be grounded and centered, and how to experience their physical embodiment. This will set the fertile ground for yoga nidra where we can rest deeply and align with our deepest intentions for the new year.

This 2 day workshop will introduce the fundamentals of Shadow Yoga, as well as the warm-ups called “Dasha Chalanam” and “Jiva Chalanam.” This workshop is a prerequisite for studying the 3 Prelude forms, which are Shadow Yoga's distinctive preparatory work involving strong leg work, circular movements, coordination of limbs, rhythmic breathing and bandha.
Open to all interested students.
